R. L. K. EASTABROOKS is an American author and screenwriter. INAUSPICIOUS, her first published novel, took sixteen years to research and write, during which time she traveled extensively throughout northern India and Rajasthan. Her feature screenplay adaptation for INAUSPICIOUS is currently in submission on the 2026 international film festival and screenwriting contest circuit.

Eastabrooks earned academic degrees from Hunter College, Harvard University, and Fordham Law School, and teaches ethics and world religions as an adjunct professor. For over three decades, she has provided pro bono assistance to survivors of sexual and domestic violence. A mother of one son and two shepherd dogs, she and her husband currently call eastern North Carolina home.
